What constitute to illegal work?
Any kind of work that is conducted outside of the company's schedule work is considered illegal work.

Why is it illegal if I already hold a valid house cleaning permit?
Your house cleaning permit only allow you to work for the company.
If any Household Service Workers (HSWs) perform work outside of the company's stipulated schedule is considered a personal arrangement.
Workman Compensation Insurance only covers you while you perform work for the company. When you work outside of the company stipulated schedule and get injured, insurance do not cover you!

Simply saying, you are driving without insurance on the road if you are working under such arrangements and thus is ILLEGAL.

What is the penalties of being caught of working illegally?
Your permit will be cancelled by your employer, and you will be barred from working in Singapore again.
