Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WRMSDs) are muscle, tendon and nerve disorders, characterised by discomfort, impairment, disability or persistent pains in joints, muscles, tendons or other soft tissues developed during the course of work. The manual handling activities which may contribute to these injuries include forceful exertions, awkward postures, static postures, repetitive movements & vibrations .
Most people experience aches or pains in the affected body parts. The severity of the symptoms varies depending on exposure. The following table shows some WRMSDs and their causes.
