Dear Employer,

Replacement fee for TraceTogether tokens

In line with the national replacement policy for TraceTogether (TT) tokens, there will be a charge of $9 replacement fee of TraceTogether (TT) token for all migrant workers who lose their tokens for a second time or more. The replacement for flat batteries, damaged or faulty tokens is waived.

2. If your workers lose their TT token, they must get a replacement immediately, because it helps to facilitate the contact tracing process. This helps us to identify and contain the close contacts quickly, and breaking the chain of transmissions at the workplace, their place of residence and the community.

3. If your workers have difficulties to pay for the replacement, employers should work out a mutually agreeable arrangement to pay for the replacement.

ANNEX A:

FAQs of TT Tokens replacement and fee charges for Migrant Workers

Q1. Where can migrant workers get their TT tokens replaced if the battery is flat or the token is damaged or faulty. What is the replacement fee?

The replacement for flat batteries, damaged or faulty token is waived. Workers can get their TT token replacement at the current collection points at PBDs (for residents of PBDs only) or RCs*.

*Please note that visits to the RCs is currently suspended until further notice.

Q2. What is the replacement fee if the workers lose their TT tokens for the first time?

Replacement for a TT token the first time lost is waived and workers can get their TT token replacement at the current collection points at PBDs(for residents of PBDs only) or RCs*.

Q3. What is the replacement fee if the workers lose their TT tokens more than once?

Subsequent replacement fee for the lost a TT token more than once is chargeable at $9 for each replacement and worker can only get the replacement at the RCs*.

Accepted fee payment methods at the RCs are Ezlink Cards, ATM cards with NETSFlashPay or Visa/ Master Debit/ UnionPay Debit/ JCB Debit/ Credit Cards. Payment in cash will not be accepted.

Q4. What happen if workers have difficulties in paying for the replacement fee?

Employer is advised to approach the workers to work out a mutually agreeable arrangement in paying for the TT token replacement fee.

Q5. Can the TT App be a replacement to the TT token?

Although the TT App can be used as a temporary replacement for the lost or damaged TT token for safe entry, workers must replace the TT token because specific worksites may not allow the carriage of mobile during work; and this will limit the contract tracing effort at the worksites.
