Case Study #2 : Cleaner failed to decline work that is impossible to accomplish

What happen?
Cleaner accused the scheduler that he/she knows the size of the house and still assigned work to him/her.

Cleaner still "trying her best" because not to let us "lose face" and vent all her frustration on the scheduler.

Cleaner been asked to use hand to mop the entire landed property without a mop!

What really went wrong?

Scheduler will not be able to know what type of house cleaner is going to.

Factors that can affect the duration and the effort of the work is dependent on
1. Conditon of the house.
2. Size of the house.
3. How particular the house owner is about the quality of work.

Solution

1. Cleaner must assess the workplace and ask what needs to be done.

2. Some job scope that is unacceptable during the course of work include

• Working at height

• Working in an unsafe environment

• Works that will result you to have Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WRMDs)

3. Always call your superior when you are in doubt!
