What happen?
Customer's feedback that our company HouseHold Service Worker (HSW) asked to cancel the company's booking and settle privately wity her.
What actually happen?
HouseHold Service Worker (HSW) asked customer to cancel her booking on 1st May 2021 and she do not wished to work. She asked customer to cancel the booking and she will attend to the customer on the day they desired.
Customer informed the company and immediately as they do not wish to do any cash settlement.
Operation Manager have also did his job to inform customer that any private arrangement without the company's acknowledgement is illegal. Cleaner working in the house is not covered under Workman Compensation Insurance. Any accident that happen in the house, such as a fall, any damages of customer's items or any items' loss will demand an investigation from the Police.
HouseHold Service Worker (HSW) deny that she did not talk about cancellation of booking to the customer.
She also deny any cash collection from the customer.
Solution
Operation Manager been asked to write to an email to MOM to check on the procedures with such practices.
MOM has clearly reply indicating that Work Pass is only issued for the worker to work for the company, any work done outside the company's acknowledegment is illegal.
This particiular HSW has been warned by the company's shareholder. Subsequently mistake will be a breach of contract and her's permit cancelled.
Shareholder has also asked the HSW if she is in need of money, company can render assistance to them in the form of salary advance
HSW are supposed to rest during their rest time, if they do illegal works without the company's acknowlegement, they will be affected physically and mentally and thus affect the HSW's performance in all aspsect.
